First of all, an incredible starry sky that is overwhelming with the naked eye! The low humidity and the even lower light pollution makes the area around the Gamsberg one of the best astronomical observation sites in the world.
After an entertaining introduction to astronomy and the southern starry sky, you now know now the difference between a planet, a star and a moon.
Solar systems, galaxies and the almost infinite distances are drawing closer - especially when looking at through one of our telescopes!
The stargazing tour is specifically aimed at laypeople. It has a "common thread" but no fixed process. Depending on your interests, prior knowledge and the questions you ask, each stargazing night is unique - also because the objects to be observed are different depending on the season.
You should allow 2 to 2 1/2 hours after sunset for the tour.
We're looking forward to bring you closer to Namibia's incredible starry sky!
Please note that the duration and scale of the observation options are heavily dependent on the weather conditions and, above all, the moon. Unfortunately, stargazing is not possible with clouds or a full moon.
An advanced booking is recomended.
